Warm timber, arched mirrors, brushed bronze and statement tiles. The looks our clients are choosing right now, and how to make them last.
Here are the trends showing up most in the bathrooms we’re building around Brisbane.
Warm timber vanities
Fluted and curved timber-look fronts bring warmth into what can be a cold room. They pair beautifully with stone tops and white basins.
Arched and backlit mirrors
Arched mirrors soften all the straight lines in a bathroom. LED backlighting adds a gentle glow and doubles as night lighting.
Brushed metals
Brushed brass, bronze and gunmetal tapware are replacing chrome. They’re also more forgiving of water spots.
Statement tiles
Fish-scale, finger, hexagon and checkerboard tiles are being used on one feature wall or the floor, with calm, large-format tiles elsewhere.
Freestanding baths
Where space allows, a freestanding bath remains the centrepiece clients ask for most.
Walk-in showers
Fixed glass panels, linear drains and twin shower heads make showers feel open and easy to clean.
Making trends last
Choose one or two statement features and keep the rest timeless. That way the bathroom still feels fresh in ten years.
